Join us for one of our Matthews Travel Tuesdays
Our Travel Tuesday meetings are a fantastic and informal way for people to find out a little more about some amazing holiday destinations from an elite travel expert. Our meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of every month* and will be held at the rather fabulous Duke of Wellington pub, close to our East Horsley offices. Each month we will invite a specialist from one of our most favourite Tour Operators to speak about a specific destination. Our chosen speakers will give a short presentation to the group, followed by a question and answer session, allowing guests to really quiz the expert on the things they want to know! We have been allocated a dedicated quiet area for our meetings and the pub have kindly offered to provide tea and coffee to everyone attending. Furthermore, all our guests will receive a money off voucher to use at the pub – a perfect excuse to stay on afterwards for a bite to eat!
Places are on a first come, first served basis and we will be taking bookings for all our meetings straight away. Please get in touch with us to book your place – and feel free to book a space for your friends and family too – we will welcome you all! Take a look at our calendar below for a detailed list of events available. All our meetings will start at 10.30am. To book your space, please either email us at email@example.com or call us on 01483 284991.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
26th March: Rupert from Beachcomber Tours will be talking about the Seychelles/Mauritius
Rupert says "Why not come and discover the delights of the Indian Ocean destinations of Mauritius and the Seychelles with the UK’s leading specialist tour operator to the region – Beachcomber Tours. Whether you are looking for a luxury package holiday, an action packed family break, a honeymoon, your wedding, a golf trip or a significant celebration then let Beachcomber Tours showcase these magnificent islands alongside their range of sensational 4 and 5 star hotels and villas."
30th April: Tara from Carrier will be talking about St Lucia/Mustique
Tara says "Carrier is a luxury tour operator who recognises that the essence of luxury is changing and we now live in an era of experience. Customers want to Look Beyond and fully immerse themselves in their destination. This is especially true in the Caribbean where Carrier invites you to watch cricket, explore caves, swim with stingray, experience local festivals as well as spend time on one of the many beautiful beaches. Two islands that complement each other are St. Lucia and Mustique. In St. Lucia you can take a helicopter over the still erupting volcano and enjoy the majesty of the Pitons and the pristine coral gardens, before heading to the regal retreat of Mustique. The undisputed beauty of this island is not the wild Macaroni beach or the pristine tennis club, nor the royals and celebrities that flock there, but it is the local islanders who welcome you into their homes and community. It is eating ice cream from sweetie pie’s bakery and tasting the latest rum cocktail from basils Bar. The Caribbean has captured my soul, I invite it to capture yours."
21st May: Brad from Kuoni will be talking about the Maldives
25th June: Lloyd from Sunvil will be talking about Equador & Galapagos Islands
Lloyd says "We have specialised in carefully-crafted adventure trips to Latin America since 1995. We feature eleven countries across Central and South America including Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Galapagos and Chile. Our itineraries are ideal for the adventurous and free-spirited traveller. There is a strong emphasis on wildlife and culture. We excel in capturing what makes these far-flung countries such a fulfilling travel experience. We pride ourselves on being specialists who delve deep into the real country – traditions, local people and history. From charming character hilltop boutique hotels to remote jungle lodges. Activities a-plenty, including trekking, white-water rafting and horse-riding. Active family holidays and honeymoons. I look forward to giving a talk on the delights of Ecuador and Galapagos islands at the Matthews Travel coffee morning.""
